Buzios has become the 3rdmost popular tourist destination in Brazil, behind only the much larger cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. It has become the popular tourist destination of wealthy international and Brazilian holidaymakers, Brazilian billionaires buying a second home, and international and Brazilian celebrities. It is also the 2nd most expensive location in Rio de Janeiro state, behind only the Leblon area of Ipanema. Add São Paulo and the rest of Brazil into the mix, and Buzios is one of the most desirable locations in the whole of Brazil.  Buzios is often referred to as the “St. Tropez of Brazil”, or the “Hamptons or Beverley Hills of Rio de Janeiro”.
 

Buzios started off as a small fishing village until the visit of the famous French actress, Brigitte Bardot, in 1964, when she visited, fell in love with Buzios, bought a holiday home here and invited the world’s paparazzi and famous friends, including Mick Jagger and Madonna to holiday here. Many other celebrities, including Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyonce, Pele, Gerard Butler, David Coulthard, Gisele Bundchen, Neymar and many other celebrities have visited as well. It has been a holiday destination for the wealthy and famous ever since and is often to referred to as the holiday destination of the Brazilionnaire.

Despite a population of only 45,000 people, the city is visited every summer by around 1.2 million tourists all year, with the city often inflated by around 300,000 visors during festivals, such as Carnival and the Wine and Jazz festivals. Buzios hosts many of the best beaches on the popular Sunshine Coast of Brazil and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, as well as hosting the sailing and surfing world championships. The city centre has many excellent amenities, with a wide variety of popular restaurants, excellent shopping, and lively trendy bars and the best nightclub Rio de Janeiro state. Brazilians will often spend the afternoon at the beach, then go out for a family evening for the evening of late-night shopping, dinner and a lively night life.  According to Trip Advisor, Buzios has been elected as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world during their latest awards.

Tourists and demand for accommodation is growing exponentially in Buzios year on year and our luxury Buzios Green Park Resort is very much in demand. According to data released by the Búzios Convention & Visitors Bureau, the average hotel occupancy rate throughout the year is currently at a very high 87%. In addition, the average occupancy rate of Wyndham Hotels throughout Brazil is between 80% and 85%. Therefore, we are very confident of an occupancy rate of 80% per annum, or above.
 

With amazing golf courses, tennis, football, hang gliding, snorkelling, scuba diving, boat trips, buggy car hire, horse riding and trekking, there is a lot to keep everyone busy and interested in Buzios. With around 30 different festivals in Buzios each year, Buzios typically receives around 1.2 million visitors per annum. This includes around 300,000 visitors for Carnival, 250,000 visitors for the Jazz festival, 60,000 for the Wine festival and 120,000 visitors for the food festival, amongst others. With a new touring racing car circuit and 12 races scheduled each year, the number of visitors for 2025 is expected to grow to 1.5 million per annum, meaning that Buzios Green Park Resort should achieve a very high occupation rate, and investors exceptional year round returns.
